can the menopause be helped by good living alone?

I was wondering if eating well and exercise also relaxation can help menopause symptoms. My friend seems to have started the menopause and she is one of those persons who avoid taking anything but she is a little cranky etc and I should like to help her. Can anyone give me some tips via the fruit and veg and exercise route please. I don’t think she will even go for supplemented vitamins. Many thanks.

Exercise is supposed to help…walking for a least 20 minutes a day.
Avoiding too much sugar in the diet can also be helpful.
Estrogen therapy is used when symptoms are overwhelming.
There are many good books on the subject if you go to Amazon.com.
They will tell what vitamin regimen works best and using things like soy in the diet.
Yes, I think good living can help.
