When going through menopause it is quite common to experience palpitations. If you do notice them be sure to keep a close eye on the health of you heart and also be sure to discuss this new developement with your doctor as soon as you possibly can.

Menopause and palpitations: Get A Doctor’s Advice As Soon As Possible

Menopause may not be a disease, but it can still cause complications to your health if you are not careful, or do not know the proper way of managing it. It will not be unusual for you to notice menopause and palpitations, and it is quite normal to notice your heart skipping a beat, which is a good reason to be worried. This skipping of a heartbeat is normally associated with a prolapsed heart.

Keep A Close Watch On The Condition Of The Heart Valve

It is advisable for a woman with menopause and palpitations to regularly consult a physician so that there is kept a close watch on the heart valve’s condition so that no further deformity is caused which will exacerbate the problem of menopause and palpitations. Such a condition is known to be very uncomfortable and can also be quite frightening, and it occurs when there are premature contractions with excessive blood being pumped into the heart.

To not experience menopause and palpitations, it is best for you during menopause, to avoid being stressed out, which in itself is a symptom of pre-menopause. You need to be relaxed, take exercise regularly as well as get good amount of sleep during menopause so that the hormones are kept in check, especially the cortisol that can easily be aggravated by stress.

High levels of cortisol will make for greater risk to your heart and may quicken the heart beat as well as oxygen is moved faster to starving cells as well as tissues. To avoid the condition of menopause and palpitations, you should make necessary changes to your lifestyle and nutrition should be upgraded when you reach middle age which will further your hormonal production so that the depleting levels of hormones get augmented, which is the real cause of menopause.

There is little doubt that menopause and palpitations go hand in hand, and heart palpitations are the most prevalent symptoms of menopause. This condition is further complicated when one finds it difficult to come across suitable relief from menopause and palpitations, even though you can use some of the many natural as well as medical medicines to get relief.

The palpitations are usually caused by irregular heartbeats and are often noticed in women during or close to their menopause phase. It is not unusual for women to notice their heart rates shooting up to two hundred beats per minute when having a hot flash. The causes of menopause and palpitations can be traced to fluctuation in hormones in the body of the woman patient, which causes the heart to adjust and the condition is closely associated with hot flashes.

Menopause and palpitations can cease within a month; though care should be taken to get a doctor’s advice as the cause of the palpitations can include stimulants, anemia, hypoglycemia, thyroid conditions as well as heart diseases. To reduce the risk of menopause and palpitations, you can limit alcohol as well as beverages with caffeine, refrain from smoking, exercise regularly, avoid stimulant medicines and decrease stress levels.

Menopause and Insomnia are two separate conditions that appear together for most women going through menopause. Many women have reported endless sleepless nights. Some of the time those sleepless nights are accompanied by hot flashes and some times they are not. Either way, get yourself as much sleep as you can whenever you can.

I Am Woman, Hear Me Roar About Menopause And Insomnia

It’s not easy being a woman, no matter what stage of life you are at. When a teenager, you have acne and menstrual periods. Each woman has a differing amount of acne or menstrual problems. If you don’t have your period, you’re either very ill or pregnant, both having their own brand of miseries. So don’t be upset when menopause comes around. At least menopause ends eventually. Old age is not a worse phase of life – it’s just different. And then you won’t have to worry about periods, pregnancy or menopause. I can’t make any promises about the acne.

The All Nighter

Menopause and insomnia are usually inseparable – menopause will almost always bring on insomnia. This is considered one of the most annoying symptoms of pre-menopause or menopause. It is hard to get a full day’s work done when you are drowsy. You might wake up with a night sweat, have an irritable urinary problems, wake with a persistent food craving, or just plain can’t sleep. Worrying about your menopause and insomnia will only make it worse. Odds are, it’ll be years before the problem goes away by itself, so for Pete’s sake, go to doctor.

Why Me?

The reduction in hormones from your menopause can knock your body temperature around like a football. Your doctor may suggest sleep aids, depending on you current health and past medical history, but sleeping pills are not always effective. The best thing you can do is try not to stress out about it and explain to your family and friends what you’re going through. Keeping up or starting a healthy lifestyle with a balanced diet and regular exercise can also help your body deal with menopause and insomnia.

Your doctor will most likely saddest a type of hormone replacement therapy to help your menopause and insomnia symptoms lessen. You can choose from Premarin, made from pregnant mare’s urine, to plant-based alternatives. You can take pills, patches or creams. You should also cut down on MSG, caffeine, alcohol and smoking. Herbal teas like chamomile or lemon balm can help you relax, as well as being tasty. Keeping your room dark and cool can help the body relax into sleep. If you can possibly help it, keep your bed reserved for sleep only. Don’t even read or watch television in bed. Over time, the body will be subliminally programmed by laying down on the bed to go to sleep. It’s the same logic as your bladder suddenly having to go whenever you pour water into a glass.

Menopause and insomnia are trying times, but you have the power to get through them.
